Here, you can find more information about me and my novel, SALT & STORM, to be published by Little, Brown in September 2014.
What is SALT & STORM? Set on an island just off the coast of Massachusetts in the late nineteenth century, SALT & STORM follows sixteen-year-old Avery Roe, granddaughter and successor to the island's water witch. For generations, the Roe women have made the charms to keep the island's whale men safe at sea, but when Avery wakes one night from a dream foretelling her own murder, she'll have to unravel the secrets of her family's magic to prevent her death and save her island from ruin.
Over at News and Announcements, I'll be posting updates on SALT & STORM--things like publication info, how I wrote the book, and where you can learn more about Avery and her world.
